Hello everyone! I decided to set up a Society6 shop for my work. It’s any easy way to get prints and other products made and sent out to people who might want them! I seriously want like 36 iPhone cases now after looking through my friends’ shops.
If there is any piece of mine that you would like as a print but don’t see on there, please don’t hesitate to ask! I’ll be adding a few more as the week goes on.

Here is a piece I did this month for the awesome project Silver Screen Society, which picks a new film each month for a few artists to interpret. This month was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
One of the main themes of the film is fear and overcoming your fears, so I knew I wanted to do something with the dementors. I had a good time using a limited palette with my Women Warriors piece so I decided to try using a lot fewer colors than I normally would here, too. Fun project! Thanks to Trevor and Brandon for inviting me.

Finally, I have finished the kickstarter!! I really hope y’all will spread this around as I need your help to get this zine made!

There are great rewards if you back this kickstarter such as the zine itself, a digital copy of the zine, stickers, patches, pins, sketches, original artwork, prints and other cool stuff!

Please share this far and wide!

BUMPING FOR SUNDAY!! Thank you so much to everyone who has backed this project and spread the word. I’m hard at work at stretch goals and new incentives so please keep spreading the word!
And a huge thank you to all the talented artists contributing to the zine and of course to everybody who sent art into the tumblr!

I contributed to this Sailor Moon zine, along with a lot of other very talented illustrators.

Amazingly, the kickstarter has already reached its goal! You can still donate though - there are some cool incentives made by Jenn besides getting a copy of the zine. Check it out!

Here is my piece for the LADY KNIGHTS // WOMEN WARRIORS zine put together by Abby Boeh, Roxie Vizcarra, and Julia Scott. It puts a little bit of a spin on the term “cat lady.”
The zine will be out at MoCCA, April 6th and 7th. I’m really excited to get my hands on a copy - it’s nice to see all of these online, but nothing beats seeing stuff in print! Hope I see you there.

“A Day in the Near Future”

Soon, responsive robots and products will help us wake up, perform at work and make us dinner. Carla Diana and the artist Katie Turner give us a glimpse of a typical day in our near future.

Last week I got the chance to work on this project for The New York Times. I made 8 illustrations with 1-5 frames each for animating, which were then turned into a short video with a voiceover from author Carla Diana (I’ve put the frames together here in .gif-form).

It was a quick job, with sketches due on Tuesday and finals on Friday, but it was very fun to do and I’m really happy with the outcome. Although the animation is really simple, just adding tiny changes to the frames was really time consuming!

You can watch the full video here. Thank you AD Aviva Michaelov!

I have an illustration in this month’s issue (Feb/Mar 2013) of BUST Magazine - The Love and Sex issue. It accompanies the article “The Thinking Girl’s Guide to Erotica,” which compiles several resources for reading material alternatives to Fifty Shades of Grey.
Very fun job. Thank you AD Lan Truong!
