About

Hello! I am an illustrator from Tulsa, Oklahoma currently living in Brooklyn, NY with my boyfriend and a little dog. I graduated from Parsons the New School for Design in May 2010 with a BFA in Illustration. I'm available for freelance work as well as commissions.

I recently got to do a few illustrations for Cricket, a children’s magazine, for a story about a boy overcoming stage fright. You can read the story in the magazine or at http://www.cricketmag.com/ if you have a subscription (it’s animated online!).

This assignment was super fun. It was also a special treat to have my mom, an elementary school teacher, read the story and show the pictures to her class. I hope to do more children’s illustration soon!

Here is a piece I created for issue #2 of Universal Slime, an annual illustration and comic zine that is edited by John Malta. He’ll be selling copies at TCAF!
I had a lot of fun doing this - it’s different from my normal colorful style, and it was interesting to use only pencil for once. I’m definitely going to try it out more.

Earlier this year I illustrated and designed the new EP for NYC rock band Looters. They just released this 7 inch record (1 song per side) that also comes with a digital download of 7 full songs. This project was pretty fun because I got to do whatever I want!
Check out Looters on Bandcamp and Facebook.

Hi tumblr! I’m looking for a new, full-time job in NYC. If you know of any illustration/graphic design/art-related jobs I might be good for, please send them my way! Above are a few reasons people should hire me. I’m a total catch.

I have a piece in today’s Wall Street Journal in the Review section. It’s for an essay about what it’s like to be a non-hugger/personal space lover in an increasingly touchy world.
Thank you to AD Keith Webb!

I recently did an illustration for Willamette Week. It’s for a piece about Troll Ride 2013, part of Pedalpalooza in Portland, OR. For Troll Ride 2013, the culture section is taking a bike tour of all the places there have been internet squabbles over on WW - aka where the “trolls” came out. If you live in Portland and ride a bike you should check out the Troll Ride tonight!
Thank you to AD Ben Mollica!

Here’s an illustration I made for the NYC-based band Looters. It’s going to be printed on stickers and buttons to be sold at shows.
Looters isn’t a girl band, by the way - it’s all guys! I’m happy they’re not afraid of feminine images and let me do this.
